Moonlight Markets

The excitement of the holiday season is upon us, and as we draw to the close of the year, we would like to remind you of some interesting things still happening at the market.

Our last two Moonlight Markets will take place on  Tuesday15 & 22 December from 5pm to 9pm.

Our long tradition of hosting evening markets ensures you a relaxed Christmas shopping experience and the opportunity of enjoying a selection of tasty supper dishes to the accompaniment of good music.   A line-up of the bands that will be playing each Tuesday evening can be seen here.

Wednesday 16 December

This Day of Reconciliation will be a celebration of Christmas music.

Our music band for the day is The Cover Ups on guitar, violin and keyboards, who will play some of their favourite Christmas songs and carols during the day.

At 10.30am Mzansi Marimba Band will entertain us with African songs and a selection of Christmas carols, followed at 12pm (noon) by The Salvation Army Brass Band.

A wonderfully entertaining family day with plenty of children’s crafting activities on offer such as ceramic painting, candle dipping and making, t-shirt painting, wood crafting and sand art.

Spellbound Puppets

Saturday 19 December will be our last Saturday market for the year and the mischievous puppets from Spellbound Puppets will join us at 11am  to enthral the children with their presentation of “A Present for Santa”.    The puppet show is free of charge and is followed by a puppet making workshop at R50 per child.

Market Recess

Our last market for the year is the Moonlight Market on Tuesday 22 December from 5pm to 9pm.   Thereafter the market will close for a short recess and will re-open on Thursday 07 January 2016.

On behalf of our stallholders and market management we thank you for your patronage and support throughout the year and look forward to being of service to you in 2016.   We wish you a blessed and peaceful Christmas and New Year celebration with family and friends.   May 2016 be a good year for our market community, our country and the world.

With best wishes
Glenda Moore
