Moonlight Markets
Yes, believe it or not, the end of the year is upon us and it is again time for our magical Moonlight Markets.

Our first Moonlight Market starts on Tuesday 22 November from 5pm to 9pm and continues on each Tuesday evening until 20 December.

Moonlight Markets offer an ideal opportunity for leisurely Christmas shopping in a peaceful festive environment.   SPCA Sandton are with us again this year offering a gift wrapping service, so get this chore done while supporting a good cause.

Children have the opportunity of making their own gifts for Christmas by partaking in the crafts on offer such as ceramic painting, T-shirt painting, candle making, wood painting and stone crafting.  Crafting activities start from R50.    The Toy Lady at stall 109 offers our tiny visitors wonderful free entertainment at her train set and doll's house play table alongside which is a North Pole Postbox for children to post their letters to Father Christmas.

A wide variety of delicious snacks, meals and desserts are on offer throughout the market for you to enjoy supper under the stars to the accompaniment of great music.   Should you choose to spend the evening with us we would courteously request that no food is brought from outside into the market, but that you support our food stallholders.

Come and share the festive fun of a magical place, offering inspired crafts and wholesome food - we look forward to sharing it with you!

FREE Shuttle Bus

In a move to attract more tourists to the market, we have taken the bold step of introducing a FREE shuttle bus service between selected Sandton hotels and the market.   The bus is routed via Liliesleaf in Rivonia, who has partnered with the market in this exciting adventure. The free shuttle bus service allows visitors the combination of a glimpse into the nerve centre of the liberation movement, and a shopping experience at our tranquil and shady outdoor market.

Lilliesleaf, an icon in the struggle for freedom in South Africa and an award-winning heritage site, honours the journey to democracy for South Africa championed by a host of liberation leaders, including Nelson Mandela.   Fascinating stories and events that helped shape our democratic nation are displayed through dynamic and cutting edge exhibits that bring the history to life.

The free shuttle bus is operated by The Joburg Squirrel and offers visitors a hassle-free and reliable door to door service.    The shuttle leaves Sandton at 9am each Thursday and Saturday, calling at The Maslow, Hilton Hotel, Radisson Blu Sandton, Holiday Inn Sandton, Hotel Balalaika, Hotel Michelangelo and Da Vinci Suites, and Sandton Sun, before making its way to Liliesleaf and Bryanston Organic & Natural Market.   Two further pick ups are made during the day at 10am and 1pm, with two return trips to Sandton via Liliesleaf at 12.15pm and 3pm.

Gauteng residents can also make use of the free shuttle service by catching the bus at the Nelson Mandela Square entrance alongside the Michelangelo Hotel zone located through the arched entrance off West Street.   This is a short walk from the Sandton Gautrain Station and therefore suitable for visitors from the East Rand, Midrand and Pretoria.
